Ballistic neck protection – K2 ‘Sprężyk’

The ASTRIVA ballistic protective collar has been designed as an additional module to increase the area of protection for the wearer around the neck, shoulders and upper back – areas that a standard body armour vest or plate carrier does not usually cover.

The set comprises a front collar section attached to the vest via a MOLLE system and a split rear collar. This design allows for freedom of movement of the head and neck, whilst increasing the area of protection around the nape of the neck, shoulders and upper back.

The outer fabric is made from durable 770 dtex ‘TAKTYK’ FC IRR FR CORDURA® and a Cordura-based laminate. The materials used have IRR properties, which reduce the visibility of the equipment under night vision.

The collar is sold complete with soft ASTRIVA K2 ‘Sprężyk’ ballistic inserts. These inserts provide protection against, amongst other things, the 7.62 × 25 mm TT round, as confirmed by comprehensive ballistic tests carried out at the Military Institute of Armament Technology (WITU). The flexible design of the K2 “Sprężyk” inserts ensures both high comfort and adequate mobility.

Available colour variants include Multicam, wz. 93, Ranger Green and black.
